Just 5 km south of Ermoupolis is Azolimnos. It is a touristy settlement that contains a beach with tamarisk trees and it is the nearest seaside village of Ermoupolis. So, it is preferred by many especially during the summer months due to the short distance from the capital.
It has several rooms to let, hotels, taverns, cafes and a private 5 × 5 football field. Two Catholic churches have been built in the village: Agios Frangiskos and the church of Analipseos, where the feast of the Holy Trinity takes place every year. A short distance to the south is Cape Fokiotrypa, which has a small beach that gathers seals, cormorants, seagulls and blackheads. From Azolimnos you can see Tinos and Mykonos islands, as well as the small uninhabited island of Aspro.
Vari is a beautiful holiday village built on a fertile lowland area with many crops. Near (about 1 km south) in the settlement extends the homonymous sandy beach, inside a bay.
The settlement has many possibilities for accommodation and offers many amenities to those who choose this place for their holidays, as well as good local food in traditional taverns right next to the waves. Guests will enjoy their swim in the beautiful beach of the settlement, as well as the nearby beaches of Achladi, Fabrika, Empati and Santorinious.
The sandy beach of Megas Gialos is located in the south of the island, 12 km from Ermoupolis and is one of the largest beaches of Syros, offering easy access, protection from the winds, some tourist infrastructure for the visitor and crystal clear waters, attracting plenty visitors mainly during the summer months.

The beach of Finikas is easily accessible and one can visit it by following the road from Ermoupolis to Galissas. It is also a favourite place for fishing and snorkelling.

Dolphin is a bay located to the west of Syros and there are two ways to access it. You can either walk from Kini through the coastal path or drive by following the relevant signs. The story of Dolphin is linked to the Homeric Odyssey and, according to Archilochus’ description; Coeranus lived in Paros and loved to travel and animals. On one of his trips he saved the dolphins that had been entangled in the nets of the fishermen by buying them and releasing them into the sea. On his return trip to Paros, the ship wrecked and one of the dolphins saved him and transferred him to Syros bay which they named the bay Dolphin.
